About
David Foy is a Director of Photography based in Brooklyn, NY with an edge for capturing humanity through a deeply empathetic lens. His debut feature film Waiting for the Light to Change won the Narrative Feature Grand Jury Award at the 29th Slamdance Film Festival in 2023 and was featured in Esquire’s “The 65 Best Movies of 2023”. It has since been theatrically and virtually released by independent film distributor Freestyle Digital Media. His sophomore feature film Behind The 8-Ball premiered in competition at the 44th annual Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival in 2026. His short films have screened at notable festivals such as: Palm Springs International ShortFest, HollyShorts, Florida Film Festival, and NFFTY, among others.
